Fruit Juice Concentration Project

1. Treatment Capacity: 480 m³/d

2. Process Flow: Plate-and-frame filtration + Ceramic membrane filtration + RO

3. Project Overview:
This project is primarily applied to the clarification, concentration, and purification of fruit juice feed streams. The system adopts a multi-stage membrane separation process consisting of plate-and-frame filtration, ceramic membrane filtration, and RO.

The plate-and-frame filter is used as a preliminary pretreatment step to remove fruit pulp, fibers, and large particulate impurities. The ceramic membrane system subsequently performs liquid–solid separation and clarification, producing a highly clarified juice stream.

The clarified juice is then treated by the RO system for deep concentration, increasing the fruit juice concentration from approximately 5% to 18%, resulting in a high-purity, high-concentration fruit juice concentrate.

This process is characterized by high permeate flux, excellent cleanability, high filtrate clarity, and high concentration efficiency, making it well suited for membrane separation and concentration applications in the food processing industry, such as fruit and vegetable juices and botanical extracts.
