Membrane Storage
Membrane elements are made of organic materials. Bacterial growth on the membrane surface can damage the active layer and result in loss of membrane performance. Therefore, if the membrane system will be shut down for a period of time, different preservation solutions shall be prepared and kept inside the system according to the downtime duration to prevent bacterial proliferation.
WARNING! Once the membrane module is wetted by water, it must be kept wet at all times. Drying out is strictly prohibited, otherwise the membrane sheet will be damaged and the membrane warranty terms will become invalid.

| 3 days | Fill the system with deionized water. Add 18% V/V glycerol mixture if ambient temperature is below 0℃. |
| 7 days | 0.1% V/V Proxel Gxl solution. After thorough mixing, adjust pH to 4.5–5.0 with citric acid, and circulate for 30 minutes at 10–25℃. Add 18% V/V glycerol mixture if ambient temperature is below 0℃. |
| 30 days | 0.2% V/V Proxel Gxl solution. After thorough mixing, adjust pH to 4.5–5.0 with citric acid, and circulate for 30 minutes at 10–25℃. Add 18% V/V glycerol mixture if ambient temperature is below 0℃. |
| 12 months | 0.25% V/V Proxel Gxl solution plus 18% V/V glycerol (98% reagent grade). After thorough mixing, adjust pH to 4.5–5.0 with citric acid, circulate for 60 minutes at 10–25℃. Renew the preservation solution every three months. Add 18% V/V glycerol mixture if ambient temperature is below 0℃. |
Warranty Period
The company warrants the performance of membrane elements for three 3 years. The three-year warranty period shall commence on the earliest of the following dates:
- The date when the reverse osmosis system is put into operation;
- Six 6 months from the date the membrane elements are shipped from the manufacturing site;
- Three 3 months after the membrane elements are shipped from Guangzhou / Shanghai, China to Taiwan of China, Japan, South Korea, Thailand, India, Malaysia, the United States and other designated locations in China.
